Mylachi Williams picked the Nittany Lions over Georgia, Michigan, Notre Dame, and many others, committing in early July 2023. The 6’3’’ Philly product had 25 sacks in his last two years combined at Montsignor Bonner & Archbishop Prendergast Catholic, and was named a consensus top-20 player in the state.
Deion Barnes did excellent work in getting Williams to Happy Valley, and will have a field day working with him on the field. Chuck Losey has clearly already put in the time with Williams, as he has gained 22 pounds in the year since his commitment. He can certainly challenge for playing time in 2024 and will certainly play in the four games he is allotted, but given the experience and depth ahead at defensive end, Williams may not see significant time until 2025.
