Kobe King arrived at Penn State in 2021 with his twin brother Kalen. After redshirting in the 2021 season, he appeared in all 13 games of the 2022 season, making 41 tackles and four tackles for loss.
King earned the starting job as Penn State’s middle linebacker for the 2023 season, finishing the season with 59 tackles, six tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks, and a fumble recovery. He was named an honorable mention on the 2023 All-Big Ten team. King returns this season to lead a talented but relatively inexperienced linebacker corps. Do not be surprised if he is named a team captain for the 2024 season.
