Ji’Ayir Brown joined Penn State in the 2020 class as a 3-star JUCO recruit from Lackawanna College. Standing 6-feet tall and weighing in at 203 pounds, Brown made an immediate impact, playing in six games in 2020. On the season, Ji’Ayir logged six tackles, one sack, and one pass defended.
For 2021, Brown should push Jaquan Brisker, Jonathan Sutherland, and Enzo Jennings for a starting role at safety. There is a ton of talent at cornerback, and so the hope is that Ji’Ayir and Co. at safety can complete the back-end of the Lions defense.
