A standout offensive lineman at Mt. Lebanon High School, Nelson went the JUCO route coming out of high school. He played two seasons — the 2021 spring “COVID” season and the 2021 fall season — at Lackawanna Community College, and like a lot of former LCC players (Jaquan Brisker, Ji’Ayir Brown, etc.), Nelson made the move to Penn State for the rest of his college career.
While in Happy Valley, Nelson has been a versatile member of the offensive line.
