Penn State football’s return is one day closer as the countdown continues with No.75, offensive lineman Des Holmes.
Holmes, a redshirt-senior out of Norristown, PA was a three-star recruit in the 2017 recruiting cycle, committing to the Nittany Lions over 17 other scholarship offers. After redshirting his true freshman season, Holmes saw his first playing time in 2018, playing in five games including his debut against Pittsburgh. In 2019, he saw a much more expanded role, playing in all 13 games for the Nittany Lions as a backup. Last season, Holmes played in just four of the Nittany Lions nine games, playing in their first three games of the season but then not playing again until the season finale against Illinois.
