Brandon Short attended Penn State during the hey day of the mid-to-late ‘90s, when Penn State was regularly in the national title discussion. Hailing from McKeesport, PA, Brandon was a two-sport athlete, lettering in football and basketball.
Short saw the field as a true freshman in the first game of the season against Texas Tech before breaking a bone in his foot and missing the rest of the season. As a sophomore, Brandon started every game, leading the team with 12 tackles for loss, adding in 3.5 sacks, a forced fumble and fumble recovery, a blocked field goal, and two passes defended.
