Offensive outburst leads Penn State women's hockey to win over RIT

A trip to Rochester, New York, yielded Penn State's most dominant win of the season.

The Nittany Lions got a complete effort on both ends of the ice on Friday, defeating RIT, 5-0, to earn their first victory in CHA conference play.

Natalie Heising and Christi Vetter both tallied two goals for the Nittany Lions. Sophie Slattery also recorded a goal, while Hannah Erhesmann got her fifth career shutout by stopping 15 total shots.

Penn State matched the Tigers' shot output with its total in the third period along, in which the Nittany Lion offense exploded for four goals Three of those came early on in the last 20 minutes of play.
