A seventh team is reportedly joining the Big Ten conference for men's hockey.
Notre Dame will leave Hockey East to join the Big Ten for the 2017-18 season, according to a post from the Big Ten Network.
The Fighting Irish will leave the Hockey East conference following the 2016-17 season amid ongoing concerns about traveling to East coast schools such as Boston College and Providence, among other concerns.

The Irish fell in the quarterfinal of the Hockey East Tournament, but received an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament and will be taking on Michigan on March 25.
