The Penn State Board of Trustees voted in favor of a zero percent tuition increase for Pennsylvania residents for 2015-2016 during its meeting today.
University president Eric Barron called it “a historical 49-year tuition freeze.”
The Board of Trustees resolution came after the Committee on Finance, Business and Capital Planning discussed a possibility of increasing tuition by 2.84 percent for in-state students. Although the committee approved that number, it was not brought forward during today’s meeting.
