Following Penn State’s victory in the first contest of its final home series against Mercyhurst, the blue and white put up a fight hoping to sweep the Lakers.
The Nittany Lions, whose skates tore up Pegula’s ice for a final time this regular season, fell short, losing 3-2, and giving up their perfect conference play record, now 17-1.
Overall, with what’s now a 27-4-1 record for the season, the blue and white only need a sweep in next weekend’s series against RIT to seal its perfect AHA record.
