Penn State was able to stay composed and found an assuring win against Michigan at home court on Friday.
The Lions went up 4-1 early to secure the 5-2 win and all seven matches got to play out.
“We came out and competed. We competed the way a good team competes. You have to beat the Michigans to be good in the Big Ten. We started to believe in ourselves more and it is nice to see from as a coach,” coach Jeff Zinn said.
The Nittany Lions survived a scary doubles session against the Wolverines.
