Following a gut-wrenching loss to then-No. 7 Wisconsin, No. 4 Penn State had opportunities to bounce back against Illinois and Maryland.
The Nittany Lions responded to the loss in a massive way with two games in which they had full control throughout most of the match.
It started with a sweep of Illinois in a match where the Fighting Illini put up a fight, but the Nittany Lions were just too much.
The blue and white followed that victory up with a pretty dominant win over Maryland. The Nittany Lions dominated all three sets they won, but Maryland took the second set in a close 25-22 win.
