No. 20 Penn State men’s volleyball sweeps Saint Francis for a statement victory

Last Saturday might’ve marked a turning point for No. 20 Penn State’s season as it found itself in another positive match script in its latest match.

The Nittany Lions built more momentum to recover from a 0-7 start by defeating Saint Francis in three sets (30-28, 25-17, 26-24) inside DeGol Arena in Loretto, Pennsylvania on Friday night, improving to 2-7 on the year.

Penn State used a balanced attack with outside hitter Matthew Luoma leading the way with nine kills on .261 hitting. Fellow hitters Will Kuhns and Matt Cosgrove made impacts as well, accumulating four and three kills, respectively.
