After enduring its first conference loss to Minnesota in 3M Arena at Mariucci on Friday night, Penn State fell once again late in the game to the Golden Gophers, losing 1-0 at 8 p.m on Saturday.

The Nittany Lions had no shortage of scoring chances, registering 28 shots to Minnesota’s 12.

Penn State continued to fill the penalty box as Charlie Cerrato took two straight infractions for hooking and interference. The Nittany Lions lost their perfect penalty-killing streak to the Golden Gophers on Friday, coming into the encore 28-29 when a man down.

Similar to Friday’s meeting, both teams started off the game slow.
