No. 18 Penn State men’s hockey shows physical toughness in loss to Wisconsin

Hockey is a sport defined by speed, skill and precision, but its toughness truly sets it apart. Players stride across the ice at record speeds, slashing sticks, braving hits and enduring grueling physical demands. Hockey toughness isn’t just about enduring pain—it's a blend of resilience, mental fortitude and a relentless desire to win.

No. 18 Penn State welcomed Wisconsin for its Big Ten home opener, and a chance to flash off its new “Old Time Hockey” sweaters for the first time, on Friday night at Pegula Ice Arena.

The blue and white were defeated, 5-4, in overtime by the Badgers.
