The No. 15 Nittany Lions have nine freshmen listed on their roster. Entering a best-of-three series with No. 11 Michigan in Ann Arbor on Friday, Penn State’s young talent faces its greatest challenge yet: postseason hockey.
Known for its physicality and lightning-fast pace of play, playoff hockey is widely considered the most electrifying part of any major sport. The blue and white, however, has been playing “playoff hockey” for the entire second half of the season.
“We know what makes us successful,” captain Simon Mack said. “We know how we’ve won games and that we really developed in the second half of the season.
