The last time Penn State and Wisconsin faced off, the teams shared a two-OT thriller in which the Badgers saw their season come to an end, while the Nittany Lions hoisted the Big Ten Championship trophy and celebrated the best night in their program’s history.
Ten months later, the two teams will clash at Pegula Ice Arena, Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m., following a lengthy stint off. Neither team has played a game since Dec. 9.
The winter break came at an interesting time for No. 14 Penn State (11-7-2), who was playing its best hockey of the season prior to the stoppage of play.
