After Thursday's loss, Penn State women’s hockey Head Coach Jeff Kampersal was critical of his teams’ inability to stay out of the penalty box at crucial times.
Although the Nittany Lions secured their first win of the season, their leaders struggled to avoid the sin-bin during Friday’s matchup.
“It was obviously a lot better than last night, but I feel like the officials let a bit more go,” Kampersal said. “There were some instances where I don’t know if they were necessarily retaliatory, but those ones aren’t good penalties.”
Northeastern did quite a good job of getting under Captain Tessa Janecke’s skin as she saw the inside of the box twice during the second leg of their back-to-back series.
