No. 12 Penn State women's hockey scores 11 goals in domination of Stonehill

No. 12. Penn State took on the 1-7 Stonehill Skyhawks in the third-place match after a 2-0 loss against Cornell at the Ice Breaker Tournament.

Penn State defeated Stonehill 11-1.

The first penalty of the game came five minutes into the matchup with a roughing call on Stonehill forward Gracie Sacca. Penn State entered the game 5 -33 on power play opportunities during the season.

Despite several shots on net during the advantage, the Nittany Lions were unable to score as Stonehill’s penalty kill held strong.

Halfway through the first period, Grace Outwater had a one-on-one with Stonehill goalie Alexsa Caron and buried a goal in the top-right corner of the net for her third goal of the season, giving the blue and white a 1-0 lead.
