No. 1 Penn State wrestling to rely on national champions at 174-pound, 184-pound weight class

Two of Penn State’s top wrestling talents chose to bump up a weight class, shaking up the 174 and 184 weight classes.

The jump in weight classes saw the Nittany Lions carry two national champions in new lineup spots, allowing for a new-look starting unit.

174 pounds

After going undefeated last season at 157, Levi Haines will make the jump to 174 to replace Carter Starocci.

Entering his junior year, Haines has already collected two Big Ten championships and competed in two NCAA finals, winning his first national title last season.
