Penn State is addressing its needs at special teams in a huge way during this offseason.
Less than a month after picking up a commitment from Blake Gillikin, the nation's No. 1 punter in the 2016 class, the Nittany Lions have picked up a commitment from Quinn Nordin—the nation's No. 1 kicker.
Nordin, a native of Rockford, Michigan, turned down the in-state Wolverines by pledging to the Nittany Lions on Friday morning.
The top-ranked kicker made his announcement with a video message on Twitter:
According to Lions247's Sean Fitz, Penn State was the first Power Five school to offer Nordin a scholarship, and that stood out to him in his recruitment.
