Three days, two nationally ranked opponents. No. 18 Penn State certainly has its work cut out for it when the team takes on No. 20 Old Dominion and No. 5 Virginia to open its season this weekend.
“There’s been some epic contests between these teams,” coach Charlene Morett-Curtiss said. “Every practice has been in preparation of two opening tough contests.”
The Nittany Lions spent their two exhibition matches against Kent State and Drexel cultivating a team-first attitude, from the goaltender to the front line.
“What improved from our first game against Kent State to our second game was our team possession skills and team unity,” Morett-Curtiss said.
