In another tough match, the blue and white fell just short in a 2-1 matchup against Syracuse. Ranked No. 12 in the nation, the Orange brought a gritty atmosphere to Happy Valley.

Around the six-minute mark, Syracuse’s Willemijn Boogert scored the first goal of the game for Syracuse. The midfielder gave Orange the advantage of scoring first which the Nittany Lions had sought out for.

“We wanted to score first. When they scored first I was, like, well that should be us,” Ella Jennes said. “But, I think when they score that gives us more energy and we can be harder and play harder.
