Ricky Rahne has inherited a productive offense at Penn State, so it makes sense that he isn’t planning to give it a radical makeover.
That means Nittany Lions quarterbacks still will not go under center.
They won’t deploy a fullback in any formation.
And the emphasis on “explosive plays” – the kind that pick up large chunks of yardage – will not be diminished.
“I think we’ve established a culture,” said Rahne, who took over as Penn State’s offensive coordinator after Joe Moorhead left to become head coach at Mississippi State late last month. “I think we’ve established an identity and there’s no need to fix what isn’t broke.
