UPPER MARLBORO, Md. -- The decision kept Penn State waiting for more than a week, but in the end, Tariq Castro-Fields made the same decision many thought he'd make last week.
The highly sought after defensive back from Riverdale Baptist made his commitment to Penn State, spurning a late push from Maryland, at a ceremony at his school in the D.C. suburbs Wednesday afternoon. Alabama was also in his final three.
Castro-Fields was long considered to be a future Nittany Lion and most expected him to choose James Franklin and Penn State when he scheduled his decision for last Monday.
