Before the start of his sophomore season, sophomore pitcher Tom Mullin set a goal for himself. The relief pitcher wanted to change his role on the team and earn at start in the Blue and White. Before Tuesday's game with West Virginia, Mullin finally received the news he was looking for: He was set to start Wednesday at home against Bucknell.
"He was pumped," head coach Rob Cooper said. "He was excited."
And, he was grateful for the chance to fulfill his goal.
"I was happy that Coach Cooper and the other coaches gave me the opportunity to do that and I just wanted to take advantage of it," Mullin said.
