As the air clears, a dusty cloud of chalk and a fifth-place national finish are all that remains of the 2016 Penn State men’s gymnastics’ season.
There were injuries, a surplus of different health issues. There was the troubling subject of pommel horse and there were many meets where the team seemingly wasn’t there, but when all was said and done it finished fifth in the nation, an admirable feat.
As the last page of the 2016 chapter closes and with it coach Randy Jepson’s 25th year as head coach comes to an end, a new chapter begins.
