The kids have arrived, and they're not planning on leaving any time soon.
This year's Penn State's roster has found itself chock-full of freshmen, both of the true and redshirt variety. There's wide receiver/punt returner De'Andre Thompkins, wide receiver Brandon Polk, running back Saquon Barkley, outside linebacker Troy Reeder, cornerback John Reid and kicker Joey Julius. They all played roles in Saturday's game, and they will all play roles in the rest of the season's games, as well.
While their inexperience may lead to some silly mistakes as time goes on, there's no doubt that each and every one of these guys (along with other freshmen like Jake Cooper, Manny Bowen and Juwan Johnson) make the team better thanks to their supreme talent.
