The Missouri softball team looked as if it was about to pull a complete 180 against University of Illinois-Chicago in Eugene, Oregon, on Saturday, rallying from down 3-0 and on the brink of elimination to take a 4-3 lead into the bottom of the seventh inning.
But redshirt sophomore Madi Norman gave up back-to-back singles and an RBI ground out, and Flames' freshman shortstop Kayla Wedl delivered a two-out single off shortstop Braxton Burnside's glove and through the left side of the infield to win the Eugene Regional elimination game 5-4 and send the Tigers back to Columbia.
