Minnesota 69, Penn State 61: Turn Out the Lights, the Party’s Over

Penn State’s losing streak extended to four games with a listless 69-61 loss to Minnesota on Tuesday night. The Nittany Lions were out of sorts on offense all night, shooting just 34.5% from the floor.

The first half was a rock fight most of the way. Penn State needed 6:16 to score its first points of the game after a horrific 0-6 start from the floor. Both teams combined had 16 points at the midway mark of the first half, with the Nittany Lions ahead 10-6.

Penn State finally found some traction in the closing minutes of the half and put together a 15-9 run that extended the lead to 25-15.
