Midweek Musings - Better Coordinator?

We’re at the halfway point of the season, and the Penn State Nittany Lions are undefeated, the number 3 team in the country.

Part of the reason for the Lions’ success has been the emergence of a competent offense, led by new coordinator Andy Kotelnicki. Known for his pre-snap motions, bizarre formations, and general mad scientist nature, Kotelnicki has revived a dormant Penn State offense with largely the same personnel as last year.

Last year, the offense was actually pretty solid under Mike Yurcich. The Lions averaged 400.2 yards per game (YPG), 55th in the country, and 36.
