Auburn is 6-2 with losses at seventh-ranked Clemson and No. 23 LSU. The Tigers are ranked 19th in both the major polls, and they’re doing even better in the computer rankings. The Sagarin ratings, which is one of the pieces of information used by the College Football Playoff committee, has Auburn at No. 10. That’s the highest of any two-loss team in the nation.
As the Tigers took Saturday off, they’ll face a brutal November, which includes games against No. 3 Georgia and No. 1 Alabama. There’s also a Nov. 4 trip to Texas A&M, which is the first team among the list of schools receiving votes in the Associated Press poll.
