Michigan takes advantage of momentum swings in win over Penn State men's hockey

The venue may have changed.

But the results didn’t.

After losing to No. 6 Michigan (16-3-4, 7-1-2-1) on Thursday at Pegula Ice Arena, No. 15 Penn State (16-7-3, 6-4-0-0) fell to the Wolverines again on Saturday night 6-3, this time at Madison Square Garden, as part of the Big Ten Super Saturday.

On Thursday, Guy Gadowsky felt his team sat back a bit after a fast-paced first period where both teams generated an equal amount of chances.

While Gadowsky didn’t think his team let up in the third period on Saturday like he thought they did after the first period on Thursday, he pointed to a sequence that swung the game in the Wolverines’ favor.
