The men’s hockey team fell to 0-4-1 in conference play with a 6-5 loss to Michigan in the first game of the series Friday night.
First Period
Penn State drew first blood with a power play goal from Matt DiMarsico, the first time the Lions had held a lead in regulation since November 1 against Minnesota. The early momentum would be short-lived, as Michigan broke through for four goals in a 12-minute span of the first period. TJ Hughes, Michael Hage, William Whitelaw, and Jacob Truscott all found the back of the net to give the visitors a commanding 4-1 lead at the end of the first.
