Returning to the starting lineup after serving a one-match suspension against St. Bonaventure for a double-booking red card, Caden Grabfelder wasted no time making an impact for Penn State in its match against Cornell.
The Nittany Lions set up in a 4-4-1-1 formation, with Grabfelder playing the deeper of the two forwards. His positioning allowed him to drop into midfield, creating a dynamic look that, at times, morphed into a 4-4-2 as he pressed higher up the field alongside forward Christian Dionne.
Grabfelder’s presence on the pitch was immediately felt. In the first half, he was a standout performer, driving the Penn State attack and playing a crucial role in the team’s goals.
