Men’s basketball working to win games despite recent string of injuries

After being blown out by Illinois on Wednesday night, Penn State not only emerged with bruised egos but also bruised bodies.

Star point guard Ace Baldwin Jr. left the game with what the Big Ten Network broadcast called a back injury after being held scoreless through 15 minutes of action.

This followed a stretch during the Nittany Lions’ prior game against Indiana where Baldwin was subbed out due to injury for most of the final 10 minutes of the first half. He’d eventually return with under 40 seconds remaining before the break.

Additionally, starting forward Puff Johnson was also injured in The Palestra game after hitting his head on the hardwood early in the second half.
