On the final Dollar Dog Night of the 2025 season, Medlar Field at Lubrano Park didn’t just serve up hot dogs — it served up a statement. Fueled by a record-breaking crowd of 6,106 fans and over 12,000 hot dogs eaten, Penn State baseball knocked off No. 17 West Virginia, 3–2, in a game packed with energy, clutch moments and an atmosphere that felt more postseason than midweek.
From the first pitch, it was clear this wasn’t an ordinary Tuesday night. Students poured in early. Lines for dollar dogs wrapped around the concourse. The crowd buzzed with anticipation, and by the time Mason Butash delivered his first strike, Medlar Field at Lubrano Park was roaring.
