When it became known that Mike McQueary, then a low-level assistant at Penn State, was intimately involved as a key witness in the Jerry Sandusky sexual abuse case, it naturally became speculation that other PSU assistants must have heard stories about or witnessed outright incidents between Sandusky and young boys. None ever admitted as much.
But this morning the evidence of that suspicion was confirmed in the Aug. 26, 2015, deposition testimony of McQueary to lawyers of Penn State and its insurance company, unsealed by the judge in the case. In it, McQueary said something he had not before – that then-defensive coordinator Tom Bradley, his mentor on the staff, indeed had a conversation with him sometime in the mid-2000s about prior incidents involving Sandusky.
