Trading in its blue and white for pink and black on Thursday, Penn State played its first basketball game in Rec Hall in two years.
It was the first of two consecutive games for the Nittany Lions in the building they called home from 1929 to 1996 before moving into the Bryce Jordan Center.
Coach Patrick Chambers hoped the “Return to Rec” games would add an excitement to the current Lions program, while also connecting the fans with the traditions of the past.

“It’s a great experience for our fans, and our team gets that,” Loren Crispell said.
