The prodigal East Texas son is coming home. Jacksonville, Texas native Luke McCown is now a Dallas Cowboy. After spending the last four seasons as Drew Brees' backup, the veteran journeyman will now play the same role for Dak Prescott.
The Cowboys had a roster spot open up this week when they lost quarterback Zach Dysert to a back injury so they thought fast and picked up McCown, who's heading into is 14th NFL season.
This is McCown's sixth team during his career and he may see ample time in the Cowboys first preseason game, which is the Hall of Fame contest on August 3rd.
