Running back Derrius Guice's status for LSU's game Saturday against Syracuse is in doubt.
Guice, the Tigers' standout junior tailback, is "very questionable" for the game against the Orange (2-1), coach Ed Orgeron said Wednesday on the Southeastern Conference teleconference. Guice appeared to injure his left knee late in the third quarter of the 37-7 loss at Mississippi State.
"I don't know if Derrius is going to play," Orgeron said. "He didn't dress out yesterday in pads. He's very questionable right now."
Guice has missed the last two days of practice for what was believed to be precautionary reasons, according to comments from Orgeron and Guice on Monday.
