Grant Ament fell short in voting for the 2019 Tewaaraton Award. Pat Spencer of Loyola took home the trophy.
Ament was previously unanimously named 2019 Big Ten Offensive Player of the Year and First Team All-Big Ten. He earned the 2019 Lt. Col. J. I. Turnbull Award as the nation’s best attackmen and was one of two Nittany Lions to be named USILA All-American First Team members.
Ament represented Penn State on the NCAA All-Tournament Team after posting seven goals and a tournament-record 18 assists in three games for the Nittany Lions.
The attackman totaled 30 goals and 96 assists this season, setting a new NCAA record for assists in one year.
