With Saturday's 8-2 victory over Tennessee, the Missouri baseball team (35-21, 14-16 SEC) ended the regular season on a six-game winning streak and with the most wins since 2009.
After back-to-back complete game shutouts from Tigers' pitching to start the series, the Volunteers got on the board first Saturday in Knoxville, Tennessee, when senior second baseman Jeff Moberg hit a leadoff home run off of junior Bryce Montes De Oca in the bottom of the first inning. Tennessee added a sacrifice fly to take a 2-0 lead at the end of the first.
Missouri quickly tied the game with two runs in the top of the second via a bases-loaded sacrifice fly from Chris Cornelius and RBI groundout from junior third baseman Alex Samples.
