Lion Tales: Purdue

Just two times in Penn State and Purdue’s series history have the two teams both been ranked when they met.

The first of those was in 1997, Joe Tiller’s first season as Purdue’s coach, and Penn State routed the Boilers in a late season game behind a remarkable performance from Curtis Enis.

From that day, Purdue rolled off an impressive home win streak and they had seriously upgraded their talent level at every spot, especially quarterback. That led up to today’s Lion Tales - a look back at No. 2 and unbeaten Penn State facing off against Drew Brees and the Boilermakers at a sold out Ross-Ade Stadium.
