For a team that dropped its first game of last season, the first weekend of this season couldn’t have gone much better.

Penn State hosted Campbell and Fairleigh Dickinson on Friday and Sunday, respectively, and came away from the weekend 2-0 with two double-digit victories.

In the opener Friday night, it was the Tony Carr show as his career-high 33 points paved the way for the Nittany Lions’ 86-75 victory over the Fighting Camels.

Several times throughout the second half Campbell threatened to close in on the Nittany Lions, but Carr was there every time to prevent the Fighting Camels from getting any closer.
