For me, the stretch between December 24th and January 1st is the most wonderful time of the year. Sure, there are the holidays themselves - having grown up Catholic, Christmas will always hold a special place in my heart, and New Year’s is a chance to reflect on the past year and look forward to the new one. Not to mention Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, and a whole host of other holidays in December and January.
I always take advantage of the slew of holidays by taking a full on winter break. This year, including weekends, that break will stretch from Saturday, December 22nd, all the way to Tuesday, January 1st, 11 days off in a row.
