Late-game collapse proves costly as Penn State women's basketball falls to Rutgers

After a series of ups and downs the past week and a half, the Lady Lions continued on a downward trend after a gut-wrenching loss to Rutgers, 77-73.

The game started with a bang, as Grace Hall backed down her defender and rose up for a layup and the foul to put Penn State on the board first.

Shooting 6-for-7 in the first five minutes of the game, the blue and white controlled the pace early, penetrating the Scarlet Knights’ defense to finish at the rim and on the perimeter.

Moriah Murray found her groove the moment after tip-off, knocking down three triples to set the tone.
