Jake McKenzie and Shaquil Terry each ran for more than 100 yards last Saturday in Kennesaw State’s 42-28 victory at Liberty. As a team, the Owls ran for a team and Big South Conference record 498 yards.
So, it makes sense that after a record-setting performance, McKenzie and Terry were each honored by the Big South on Monday.
McKenzie, the redshirt junior from Monroeville, Alabama, was named Big South Conference Offensive Player of the Week after he rushed for a career-high 111 yards, including a 30-yard run late in the fourth quarter to help seal the victory.
