After two games that gave reason for optimism, Penn State ran out of gas on the road against a beatable opponent.
Ohio State (13-8, 5-3 Big Ten) routed the Nittany Lions (11-10, 2-6 Big Ten) in Value City Arena on Monday night, 66-46. Buckeyes forward Keita Bates-Diop led both teams in scoring with 22 points.
The Lions suffered their second straight conference defeat since a Jan. 16 victory at Northwestern, and have lost four of their last five. They were limited on offense by horrific shooting from beyond the arc, where they hit just 4 of 25 shots.
