In a move that was looking likely for a couple weeks now, Justin Shorter made his transfer from Penn State to Florida official.
Once a five-star prospect and the No. 1 ranked wide receiver in the 2018 recruiting class, Shorter’s career never really got going in Happy Valley. He battled some injuries his freshman year, only playing in three games and then taking a redshirt.
During his redshirt freshman season, many expected — or perhaps hoped is a better word — Shorter to break out, but that unfortunately didn’t happen. Shorter only played in 8 games, hauling in just 12 receptions for 137 yards.
